The minutes of the lodge form 1906 indicate that "An Ivory gavel was presented to the Lodge, a gift by Bro. E.D. Hodge of Nome AK"

|The head of the gavel is cut from a walrus tusk.|
Wonderful piece of Masonic History. Now to figure out who precisely Bro. E.D. Hodge of Nome AK was.
