Brief Bio:
He was Postmaster in Ellensburg, along with his other activities. The Ellensburg Post office has a very interesting long-term tie to the Masonic Lodge.
A. E. Emerson was also County Clerk for Kittitas County from 1903-07.
He was very active in the community, he was president of a gold mining operation in the Swauk and was a partner in a few different business ventures - mostly with his masonic brothers. More to come on this gentleman......

Emerson, Alonzo Emery, 1868-1950;
Alonzo (Lon) Emery Emerson was born in Stetson, Maine on
February 28, 1868. He came to Cle Elum, Washington in 1896 and moved to
Ellensburg, Washington in 1905. Lon and his wife, Cordia Stafford, whom he had
married in 1900, made their residence at 511 E. Eighth Avenue. He was a U.S.
Postman in Ellensburg and also a title insurance salesman. Lon was a past grand
master of the Masonic Lodge of Washington. He died on November 1950 in Seattle,
