Andy Gustafson was born in Ellensburg, Washington on January
3, 1902, and he graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1920. For the next
four years, Andy attended Washington State College in Pullman, Washington and
majored in dairy manufacturing. In 1925, he became employed by the Kittitas
County Dairymen’s Association and worked for them for the next 41 years. Andy
married Mary Hartman in 1928, and the couple celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary in 1988. Andy was a member of the Masonic and Elks Lodges and the
Knights Templars. He died on January 8, 1994 at the age of 82 years.
